TO LOVE

“To love is to share life together to build special plans just for two to work side by side and then smile with pride as one by one, dreams all come true. To love is to help and encourage with smiles and sincere words of praise to take time to share to listen and care in tender, affectionate ways. To love is to have someone special one who you can always depend to be there through the years sharing laughter and tears as a partner, a lover, and a friend. To love is to make special memories of moments you love to recall of all the good things that sharing life brings love is the greatest of all. I’ve learned the full meaning of sharing and caring and having my dreams all come true; I’ve learned the full meaning of being in love by being and loving with you”

THE RINGS OF MARRIAGE

Many of us already know what the three rings of marriage are. Well, for those who don’t, these are: ENGAGEMENT RING, WEDDING RING and SUFFERING!

HERE AE MORE RINGS OF MARRIAGE!

BEARING

BORING

WANDERING

PHILANDERING

DOMINEERING

SQUANDERING

NAGGER-RING

CARING

SHARING

PERSEVERING

For all the couples out there, I advice you to concentrate on the last three rings!

THE SHEEP AND THE PIG

Have you ever wondered why Jesus chose the sheep and not the pig in his sermons? He could have said “I am a good shepherd and you are my pigs!” (Ouch!)

The reason why Jesus chose the sheep and not the pig because they have different traits and character.

First, the sheep is quiet animal. The pig on the other hand is loud and boisterous.

Second, the sheep is a humble animal. The pig is proud and arrogant and throws his weight around.

Third, the sheep tries to clean itself when dirty. The pig on the other hand, stays and wallows in a mud.

Are you a “sheep”?

Or would you rather be a “pig”?

CHOPSTICKS!

Take some moments, look at the chopsticks. Then look at your relationships. A relationship that is not blessed or held by God is bound to be fragile. It will easily fall apart. Allow God to hold you together.

As with the chopsticks, a relationship must be held neither too lose nor too tight, Just right. There is no fixed rule as to who should below or above. As with the chopsticks, one is not enough to serve its purpose. You have to stay together, for a purpose, for a mission. So, do not CHOP each other. STICK to each other because God has brought you together…

CHALLENGE IN MY LIFE

Many people aware what kind of life I have. Day by day, I encounter different kind of people, the good one and even the bad one but these people are the one that makes me stronger everyday. Without them, there is no challenge in my life. The good one is people that give me inspiration and determination while the bad one gives me problems and worries in life. Two different types of people that become part of my life, I should be glad having them because I realized life will not be called “life” without these people in our lives. After all they are the challenge in our life that we have to deal and face with. At least we learn something from them through experience with them, so we have to be thankful having them in our life for being one of the reasons to be strong…

ME? FORGIVE?

Is easy to forgive? No, it is not easy to forgive but what does it mean to forgive?  To forgive does not mean it did not happen, (Accept that it happened!). To forgive does not mean that it did not hurt. (Accept that it did hurt!) To forgive means to decide that which happened, and that which hurt, does not become a wall between you and me anymore…

H-E-A-R-T

Take a moment to seek from your heart the answers to the following questions:

First question: Do you have a heart?

Is there no more space for matters of the heart in your hard, stern, dysfunction and cold life?

Second Question: What kind of heart do you have?

Do you have a stony heart, a wooden heart or perhaps a plastic heart?

Third Question: What are the sins in your heart?

There is no real place in your heart as long as you hold in it the following sins of the heart:

H-Hatred

E-Envy

A-Anger

R-Resentment

T-Timidity

FIVE QUESTIONS

Please take some moments just to allow yourself to be asked these five questions:

1.  Just what are you really doing?

2.  How much do you own?

3.  How is your love life?

4.  Are you happy or gay?

5.  Whom are you fooling?

These are very “threatening” questions; questions we would rather not ask nor to be asked by others. But, we must raised them anyway, or perhaps even deepen them by raising these sub-questions;

1.  Why are you doing what you’re doing?

2.  How much do you share?

3.  Is there enough love in your life?

4.  Is there joy in your work?

5.  What keeps you going anyway?

ARE YOU A CAVE OR A WALL?

How do you differentiate a cave from a wall?

A cave is open. It welcomes people to whom it provides warmth and shelter. A “cave” person therefore is someone who takes in and shelters people.

On the other hand, a wall obstructs and even divides. It is also closed and cold. A “wall” person is someone who shuts out people. One has to put up with a “wall”.

So, what are you? A “cave” or a “wall”?

THE SHATTERED CRUCIFIX

Have you ever tried to take a closer look at the crucifix?

There was once an old man who was dying. He called his three sons and divided his properties. To the eldest son, he gave the house. To second son, he gave the farm. To the youngest son, he said:

"You are most precious to me my son; to you I give this crucifix…” The man breathed his last, leaving the youngest son with so much anger, resentment and envy.

One night, in a fit of anger, he grabbed the crucifix and threw it to the floor. The crucifix was shattered and broken into tiny, shinning pieces. Behold, inside the crucifix were many precious jewels and stones hidden by the father! And the son understood the words of his father:

‘You are most precious to me my son; to you I give this crucifix…”

MINUS ONE

A story is told about a girl born minus one ear, growing up shy and withdrawn and often hurt because of her defect. The mother always felt her pain more than anyone else.

On the girls’ 18th birthday, she was brought by her mother to the hospital for an ear transplant operation which turned out to be successful. This changed her whole life. She became free and outgoing and then she met the man of her dreams.

The night before her wedding, her mother embraced her so tight and the girl found out for the first time that he mother no longer had one ear. It turned out the ear transplanted to her was that of her mother whom she had often hurt, shouted and taken for granted all those years…

A GOOD FAMILY

Take a moment to look at your family

What is a good family?

These are the three makes of a good family:

1.   Close to God

2.   Close to one another

3.   Close to people

Some families are close to God, but they are not close to one another. Some families are close to God and to one another, but they are not close to the people and it could happen that some families are close to the people and to one another, but they are not close to God.

So, how is your family?
